Over the last several months, we have been working around the clock to ensure our policies reflect the latest recommendations and requirements, from cleaning to operational regulations. This enhanced cleaning program meets or exceeds CDC recommendations and guidance from hospitality industry experts.

At this time, vacation rentals and visitors to Lake County are not restricted. However, we know that if cases continue to increase, some tough decisions may need to be made. Retail stores, restaurants and bars may be asked to decrease capacity, move back to take out and delivery only, or in a worst-case scenario be mandated to close. Should this happen we will plan to inform you as soon as we possibly can. For now, businesses, vacation rentals and visitors to Lake County are not restricted. We hope this news won’t worry you too much and that you will grab your mask, wash your hands, and we’ll see you soon!
Although we would love to see you, we understand the need to weigh the circumstances and make a decision that is right for you. Should you decide it best not to travel at this time, please reach out to us. We have expanded our cancellation policy and will do our very best to accommodate you if possible.
#1: If an employee shows signs of illness, or reports coming into contact with someone who is suspected of having COVID-19, they will not be allowed to work.
Personal Protective Equipment: Cleaners will be provided and expected to wear face masks while in the home for maintenance, housekeeping or any other purpose.
Enhanced Sanitizing: To maximize ventilation and air out the home, our housekeeping staff will open windows while cleaning. In addition, each reservation has a 24-sanitation hold placed after the guest departure. This allows us time to perform an enhanced cleaning for your protection. Due to this, please keep in mind that early check in or late check out may no longer be a possibility.
While disinfecting, we pay special attention to high-touch surfaces, including: doorknobs (inside and out), electronic lock panels, stair railings, light switches, remote controls, arms of chairs, refrigerator door handles, sliding door handles, toilets, faucets and knobs, clothes hangers, touch screens, and play sets/toys, to name just a few.
Maintenance requests during your stay: Maintenance requests from guests during their stay are being evaluated based on the urgency of the need. Non-emergency maintenance items will be addressed after check-out. For anything that requires immediate attention guests will be asked to remain in a different room from the employee, and the employee will wear a mask, while in the home.
What to do if COVID-19 prevents you from visiting Leadville and you need to cancel a reservation: Please note that there are many things to do and enjoy in Leadville no matter what the season! As such, we will not be able to refund your reservation due to a specific activity being cancelled. Should lodging and/or travel be shut down our plan remains to refund guests. We know you love Leadville too! Here’s how you can help keep us healthy while you visit:
- Please bring a mask for everyone in your party & practice social distancing whenver possible. Lake County has mandated the use of face coverings while in any business and/or facility open to the public.
- Please wear your mask whenever you expect to come within 6 feet of others outside of your family. This includes picking up or dropping off your keys at the office & calling for maintenance to enter the vacation home.
- Practice good hygiene. Thoroughly wash your hands with soap and water. In the absence of soap and water, use hand-sanitizer: use a tissue, your elbow, or sleeve to cover coughs and sneezes.
- If you feel you have signs or symptoms of COVID-19 while in one of our vacation rentals, please inform us.
